Day 1 : Flight to Marrakech - Casablanca (City Tour)
Early morning meeting at "Macedonia" airport. Flight via Athens and arrival in Marrakech. Departure for Morocco's largest city and one of the country's main economic and cultural centers, Casablanca. We visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world with the tallest minaret (210 meters) built almost on the sea. We walk along the Corniche promenade, which is lined with cafes, restaurants and clubs with great views of the Atlantic Ocean. We wander around Old Medina with its narrow streets and traditional markets. We continue to Quartier Habous (New Medina), the area with French architecture and a combination of old and new styles. We visit Mohammed V Square - the largest square in the city with the French Embassy, the City Hall - the United Nations Square and the central market. We cannot miss the Anfa district, where wealth and opulence abound. Arrival at our hotel, settle in the rooms, dinner in a rich buffet.
Day 2 : Casablanca - Rabat - Fes
Breakfast on site. Departure for the capital of Morocco, Rabat. We visit the Royal Palace, the mausoleum of Mohammed V , the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Departure for the "Empress of Cities", the stately Fès, in the heart of Morocco. The city is one of the oldest and most culturally rich in the country. It is a theological, cultural and artistic centre. A city is the best contact with the soul of Islam and first contact with Africa. Arrival at our hotel, settling in the rooms and dinner in a rich buffet.
Day 3 : Fes (City Tour) - Meknes - Fes
Breakfast on site. We start the tour of the "Mecca of Morocco", founded in 791AD by Moulay Idris I. We admire the palace Dar Al Makhzen of the Meridians. It is the oldest palace in the country. We continue to the Jewish quarter of Mellah and end up in the labyrinthine 11th century Medina where, among other things, we see the al-Qarawiyyin Mosque with the tallest minaret in the Muslim world, which houses the University of Fez (perhaps the oldest in the world). The mausoleum of Mullah Idris I and the Medersa Bou Inania. Inside Medina we have the opportunity to see the tanneries that still operate in the old-fashioned way. We conclude our tour with the ruins of the Meridian necropolis. We depart for the old imperial capital Meknes. Our tour starts from the historic El Hedim Square, also known as the Square of Destruction. We see from the outside the royal palace with the majestic Bab Mansour gate, the royal stables, the city walls. Return to Fes dinner in a rich buffet.
Day 4 : Fes - Ifrin - Middlet - Erahidia - Erfoud
Breakfast on site. Departure to the Berber villages of the Middle Atlas. Our first stop is Ifran, located at an altitude of 1665 meters in the heart of a cedar forest. It has a ski resort and is therefore called "the Switzerland of Morocco". Continuing on, we pass through beautiful Middelt and Erahidia to reach the final destination of Erfoud. Arrival at our hotel, settle into our rooms and dinner in a rich buffet.
Day 5 : Erfud - Sunrise in the Merzuga Desert - Tingir - Warzazat
Depart early in the morning for a unique experience! With specially adapted jeeps we head towards the dunes of Merzuga, where we enjoy the sunrise in a unique spectacle with the red sand of the desert "illuminated"... Back and breakfast. We depart towards a small town built around hills, next to one of the most beautiful oases in the south, Tingir, inhabited mainly by indigenous Berbers (Amazigh). We continue our journey through Dades to our final destination of Warzazat. We visit Studio Atlas, where famous movies were filmed. Arrive at our hotel, settle into our rooms and have dinner in a sumptuous buffet.
Day 6 : Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Hadoue - Marrakech
Breakfast on site. Today our first stop is at Ait Ben Hadou, a Unesco protected village with characteristic castles. We continue our route through the Atlas mountain route towards the "Red City". Arrival in the afternoon in Marrakech. Arrival at our hotel, settling in the rooms and dinner in a rich buffet.
Day 7 : Marrakech (City Tour) - FREE Folkloric Show with drinks at the world famous Chez Ali!
Breakfast on site. Today's tour starts from the Koutoubia Mosque, which we admire from the outside as non-Muslims are not allowed to visit. The minaret of the mosque is the symbol of the city. We continue to Bahia Palace, built in the late 19th century, and the Dar Si Said Museum, a beautiful palace that houses a rich collection of wooden decorations. We also visit the beautiful Majorelle or Yves Saint Laurent gardens. We return to our hotel for lunch. In the afternoon with our guide we stroll through the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa or Miracle Square. According to Unesco, the square is a masterpiece of oral and intact world heritage. In the evening we will enjoy the folkloric Fantasia show with drinks at the world famous Chez Ali. Return to the hotel.
Day 8 : Marrakech - Return flight
Breakfast on site. Departure to Marrakech airport for our return flight via Athens to Macedonia airport filled with the most beautiful impressions of our trip.
