Day 1 | Thessaloniki - Vienna - Mayerling Forest - First acquaintance.

Early morning meeting at the airport ''Macedonia'' and direct flight to Vienna. Arrival, board our bus and direct departure for the outskirts of Vienna, the famous Vienna Forest and the spa town of Baden. On our route we will meet at the Mayerling site. Afterwards, we will visit the monastery of Heiligenkreutz and then visit and first acquaintance with the beautiful spa town of Baden. It is a town famous for its baths, which is why many tourists and Viennese choose it for their holidays because they also have healing properties. We will then depart for our hotel in Vienna. Check-in. In the evening, free time in the historic city center to taste Viennese coffee and walk the historic pedestrian streets where nobles and emperors once walked.

Day 2 | Vienna - Walking city tour - Senbrun Palace

Breakfast and start our walking tour of Vienna. Our first stop is St. Stephen's Cathedral, one of Vienna's most famous sights and one of the most important masterpieces of the European Gothic style. The construction of the first church dates back to 1147. For a long time Stefandom was the tallest building in Europe - 137 meters. Next we will visit the Plague Column which is a monumental baroque sculpture built in the late 17th century from marble. Interestingly, the column is dedicated to the Holy Trinity and not to the Virgin Mary. We will continue along the pedestrian street with its impressive cafes and branded fashion shops to end up at the Hofburg Palace which is one of the symbols of Vienna's imperial past. A huge luxurious palace that was the winter residence of the Habsburgs. In the Middle Ages there was a castle, of which a small chapel survives. The Hofburg was expanded into a magnificent residence when Vienna became the capital of Austria-Hungary. Currently, you can find almost any architectural style here - from Gothic to Art Nouveau. In its halls there is a national library, a treasury, a museum of musical instruments, weapons and ethnography and the famous "Spanish riding school". Afterwards we will visit the anchor clock (anchor) located in Vienna's oldest square the "Hoher Markt" and representing the Art Nouveau style. Among them are the medieval lyricist Walther von der Vogelweid, the Empress Maria Theresa and Prince Eugene of Savoy. Every day at exactly noon the clock "strikes" with a short performance, accompanied by musicians from different eras. Also impressive is the huge palace square - Heldenplatz (Heroes' Square). The mounted statues of Archduke Charles, who won the Battle of Aspern against Napoleon's troops (1809) and Prince Eugene of Savoy, who defeated the Turks, bear witness to Austria's glorious past. Heroes' Square is not just a huge square in the centre of the Austrian capital, it is one of the symbols of a glorious history. We will then pass through the Jewish Quarter with its main attractions, the Jewish Museum, the City Temple, the Misrachi House Museum, the Theodor Herzl Staircase and the Karmeliter Church. Finally we will visit the old Greek quarter in the city centre with the church of St. George, the Holy Trinity and the beautiful restaurants in the area for good food, where Greek merchants used to frequent in the 19th century. Then optionally we will follow our guided tour of the palace and gardens of Senbrun (own ticket), considered the equal of Versailles and former summer residence of the imperial family. We will visit the most important rooms and the grand ballroom and be impressed by the gardens and interior luxury of the palace. In the free time that follows, we suggest you visit one of the historic cafes such as the Central or enjoy a ride in impressive horse-drawn carriages waiting for you next to the Cathedral of St. Stephen. In the evening we recommend you attend a classical music concert.

Day 3 | Vienna - Day trip to Salzburg.

Breakfast and we recommend an excursion to Salzburg. Departure for the unique "salt castle", Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace and city monument of another romantic era. Here you can stroll through the endless pedestrian streets of the old town. We will even visit the gardens of the Mirabel Palace next to the Salzach River. Walking through the atmospheric streets of the city, we will see Mozart's house, the town hall, the city cathedral and St. Peter's Abbey. Free time for coffee and lunch in the old town. Those who wish can climb the Old Town Castle and enjoy the unique view of the city. In the afternoon departure for our return to Vienna. Arrival late afternoon.

Day 4 | Vienna - Melk - Krems - Wahau

Breakfast and then we will optionally depart for the excursion to Melk, the valley of the Wachau and the city of Krems. We will have the opportunity to get to know the most beautiful region of the state of Lower Austria. Arrival and we start our tour with the famous monastery complex of Melk, with its millennia of history, the priceless library of the Benedictine monks with rare books and manuscripts and one of the most impressive baroque churches in Central Europe. Then, following the flow of the Danube, we will cross the idyllic valley of the Váhau. Passing through picturesque villages and well-preserved medieval settlements, vineyards and castles, we will arrive at the town of Krems, the oldest town in Lower Austria. Walk through the centre and the medieval streets of the town. Then we will visit the village of Grinzich for traditional food and wine entertainment. In the late afternoon we will return to Vienna.
